Prof. Dr.

Selahattin KUMRU

Prof. Dr. Selahattin Kumru was born in the Beyşehir district of the city of Konya. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Akdeniz University in 1993. After completing his mandatory service at the Sorgun Çiğdem Health Center in Yozgat city and working at the Senir Health Center in Keçiborlu town of Isparta Province, he received special education at the Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic of the Faculty of Medicine at Fırat University. In 2000, at the same faculty and department, he began working as an Assistant Professor. In the same year, he worked at the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Oncology of the Faculty of Medicine at Hacettepe University. In 2005, Dr. Kumru served at the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Perinatology of the Faculty of Medicine at Istanbul University. There he received the title of Associate Professor in 2006 and worked until 2008.

In 2008, Dr. Selahattin Kumru started to work as the Head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic at the Antalya Research Hospital. From 2010 to 2011, he was an observer in the Department of Maternal and Fetal Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, The Penn State College of Medicine (Pennsylvania, USA). Then he continued to be the head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic at the Antalya Research Hospital until March 2012.

In 2012, Selahattin Kumru became a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Faculty of Medicine of Düzce University. There he also took up the position of Head of the Department. In 2013, to improve his knowledge of “Surgery and treatment in the womb,” he worked as an observer at Cincinnati Children’s Fetal Care Center (Ohio, USA). From 2013 to 2015, he was a professor and responsible for education and administration at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical Faculty of Düzce University, as well as the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic at the Antalya Research Hospital.

From June 2015 to July 2020, he held the position of Professor and the Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Head of the Department of Perinatology at the Faculty of Medicine of Akdeniz University.

Since September 2020, Dr. Kumru has been helping patients in his clinic.
